The art show went pretty well. We skipped "Radar Love" because it was kind of a disaster and totally not ready for performing. I'll go in-depth with links and everything tomorrow after work.

Looks like it's time for one of these again!

Deus Ex Metällia ☠
Somewhere out in the omniverse, there is a world unheard of by many people of our own. At least, directly. Pop in The Number of the Beast or Paranoid and you'll have your very own glimpse of this world. That's all most people get.

Lucky you.

The great and powerful goddess Queen has brought you to the city of Metällia because she deemed you awesome enough to live there. She wants to give you the chance to live life to the fullest. And now that you're a citizen in this world, you can do whatever you want. Of course, the big draw is to form a band with other people in your situation, but you can also head out into the wilderness, raise a little metal family, or just gamble your life away. You don't have to do anything.

Well, no. You have to be as awesome as you can be. But since you're here already, that shouldn't be too hard for you.

HUGE ROCK BAND RELATED ANNOUNCEMENT

In possibly the biggest news in rhythm games since Guitar Hero's creation, Harmonix and Apple Corps held a conference call today to confirm that legendary group the Beatles have signed with the Cambridge-based company to create an entirely new game based on their music. More details after the jump.

The game will be something entirely new; it will not be part of the Rock Band series, but it will use parts of the engine. According to Alex Rigopulos, the game will provide a new way to experience the Beatles' music and include songs from Please Please Me to Abbey Road. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison, and Yoko Ono Lennon have all signed on to the project and will be involved "every step of the way creatively and musically".

Most importantly, the Beatles are entirely exclusive to Harmonix at this point; the rumored Guitar Hero: Beatles to follow in the steps of Aerosmith and Metallica will never be released. An exact date for the game has not been announced yet, but it will be released worldwide during the holiday season in 2009.

FIRST OFF a big thank you to [info]kaysara and company for TRIVIA NIGHT tonight. We didn't win, but with the first place team at 124 points, 100 points is still respectable. Best moment of the night comes from one of the team names: Don't Play Uno With Mexicans, Because They'll Steal All Your Green Cards. Yeah, I'm going to hell, but you'll all be there with me.

And since I promised [info]ggmoonycrisco I would, it is time for MY FAVORITE MEME OF ALL TIME.

1) Set your music player on random.
2) Post lyrics from whatever number of songs you want.
butts) Get your f-list to guess the songs!

Oh yes and also to make things harder, I might modify the punctuation of some lyrics. But all the lyrics will be precisely as they appear in the song.

listen well, will you marry me? (remaining) )
